Child Abuse Prevention Month has been observed each April since its first presidential proclamation in 1983. In Champaign-Urbana, CASA responds to Child Abuse by planting pinwheels across the parks, raising money to connect abused children with volunteer Advocates, and hosting trainings for new individuals to become CASAs. Find more about how to get involved here.
We are kicking off our month-long #PinwheelProject with #WearBlueDay on April 5 to raise awareness and funds for child abuse prevention in Champaign-Urbana. Anyone can participate! Does your business or department want to #WearBlue to end child abuse in Champaign County? Contact Emily Cross Vayr, Development Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or click here.
