Illinois Marathon for CASA
We're running because we want to give a voice to an abused or neglected child.
Champaign County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) recruits, trains, and monitors volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children.
Please join us in running to give a child a voice. CASA's goal is to raise $1,200 to sponsor a child's advocacy for an entire year right here in Champaign County.
How to run for CASA:
In this new system, every charity has a “Team.” Every runner has a “page.” When you register, you can decide for your page to be part of CASA’s team.
If you have already registered, you can log in and go into your fundraising page and click “preferred charity: CASA” so donations made to your page will go to CASA’s team.
Runners can edit their pages by adding a profile picture, change what their fundraising goal is, saying they are running with the Champaign Republican Women, etc. I have some example scripts on the back page of this pdf.
Runners will then share their UNIQUE page link on social media, with friends, etc. Donors will click that link so they can support that individual’s goal.
Charities receive the donor’s information if the donor chooses to share it with us. Neither Race Roster nor CASA receives any payment information, and the forms are secure.
